Hi, I've an oil pressure problem on my petrol 20 plate C3 Aircross. I've taken it to two different garages, both said there are no errors showing, the oil is at max has been changed also the filter. I've read the topics on here my cars vin isn't listed in the recalls. I'm now unable to drive my 4 year old car as its dangerous (looses power when warning comes on, and needs to be restarted to regain power)

Does anyone have any suggestions at all im at a bit of a loss.

wet belt problem. ( i do hope not) one of the symptoms of a breaking up wet belt is low oil pressure as the pump cant suck up enough oil . this needs checking urgently as if not you will grenade the engine. plenty of discussions about this subject also various you tube vids on subject . today i have just watched a peugeot 3008 with 47000 miles yes 47000m get a new belt on you tube.

I had this on my on 63900 miles. Went into lmp mode 3 times but each time it was ok on restart. Very luckily I had it booked in for a new cambelt to days later. In my case the belt had been inspected and looked ok, but when it was taken apart they found that the belt had started to shed biys and they had to clear out the oil pick-up pipe in the sump and a f other places. This work needs to be done and it needs to be done by someone who knows ewhat they are doing. Luckily I kept my car main dealer serviced and I have Citroen Extended Warranty, so mine was done without quibble and I didn't have to pay for the belt kit saving over £500. If you don't have warranty it will be a big bill, I'm afraid. Hopefully the engine will be ok, mine seems to be.
