Had the car since 2018.
Not noticed before but when I select reverse the engine wont rev any more than 2500rpm.
Reversing uphill has never been its strong point and I try to not get in a situation where I need to reverse unless its on the flat
Is that normal?
Car went into main dealer for a cam belt and they must have updated the software as some of the menu is now in colour so wondering if thats anything to do with it.

Yes, the engine speed is limited in reverse to protect the gearbox - you shouldn't need to go at warp speed in reverse.
