Citroen C3 / C5 Aircross Forums

Hi everyone.
I have a 69 plate (07/09/2019) C5 Aircross (Flair Plus). 1.5 BlueHDi 130. 5 Door Diesel Hatchback in Tijuca Blue.

I drive this car to work every day and have a round trip of approximately 50 miles per day. I cover around 12,000 miles per year and my usual trips are split 50/50 between urban and rural driving.
In winter I sometimes have to negotiate snow and Ice when driving over the Mendip Hills and would like any recommendations anyone may have on which Tyres to use on my 19" wheels please?
I am considering replacing my Michelin Primacy 3's with Michelin Cross Climate 2's..?

I highly recommend the CrossClimate 2s having ripped off the Horrendous Bridgestone Turanzas that were factory-fitted and totally unfit for purpose. I replaced these with 4 CC2s and recently swapped the rears to the fronts and replaced the rears with 2 x Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, another 3 mountain peak certified all weather tyre. I wanted to see how these compared to the Michelins for tread wear as again I'm rural and the roads are full of chippings and potholes.

I also highly recommend these if you have the optional 'Grip Control' system, as this in conjunction with these 3 peak certified tyres will give excellent grip in snow and ice and of course are summer certified too.

Thanks for your reply and for your endorsement of the CC2’s.
I bought my C5 Aircross secondhand from a Citroen Dealership in Swansea and am very happy with it too!
I researched a lot beforehand and since too, but unfortunately I haven’t got the optional ‘Grip Control’ system.
Prior to me buying the car the original owner before ‘trade-in’ had not long replaced the factory fitted Michelin Primary 3’s at the front with GoodYear Efficient-grip 2’s.
The remaining Michelin Primary 3’s at the rear were replaced by me like for like after 9 months of ownership as they were showing signs of cracking with age.
The “new” MP3’s which are at the rear will be moved to the front and the ‘yet to be bought’ CC2’s fitted at the rear when the GoodYears are replaced in the not too distant future.
My intention is to ultimately finish with CC2’s front and rear.
The reason for sticking with Michelins are because the GoodYears are showing signs of badly wearing on the outer edges of each front wheel. I have had my suspension & tracking checked and have come to the conclusion that Michelins will hopefully wear more evenly..

Another vote for Michelin Cross Climate 2's.
Need the peace of mind that if my wife gets called out to work in the middle of the night in winter, she has suitable tyres.

PS: Not blue - 100% green to my eyes.

Seems I’m on the right track with the tyres then.
They cost, but like most things buying quality once works out cheaper than buying wrong twice!

About the colour.. The only reference to “Tajuca” I can find is something to do with the Brazilian rainforest??
I like the colour a lot but yeah it’s definitely green!

I’ve just passed 20k miles on mine and the front two original Primacy Tyres need replacing. I’m gonna try budgets from National Tyres.

I put budgets on a C3 Aircross. Sadly they were not good and after 500 I traded the car for a newer on.

Hi Steve. I'm wondering how much mileage you expect to get out of the front tyres?

I’m thinking 20k miles is very satisfactory. I’ve had the car from 6.5k miles and drive fairly gently and keep to speed limits.
