Updated to latest firmware yesterday. Now I find in the night the Tomtom map on the centre screen is not going dark, and is far too bright to drive at night. Is there a setting to turn the map dark in the evening?

When the map is showing, select the lower right hand corner for map settings highlighted in red arrow:

Then you have access to the Map Colour Setting:

You may want to run through the entire video on how to use the system - everything you need to know is shown:

Hence why that video is useful as it runs through everything not immediately obvious from the manual.

The above is a combined map and firmware update.
Juan, the one I downloaded and installed was not a combined file. I did the firmware first onto a 32gb usb stick and the map onto a 64gb stick. No issues at all. I can't check the version number as I'm not near the car now.
It may be that that you have the separate version which they may have created due to the issues some people have been facing with combined firmware and map updates. This being the case, that may be why it has a different release date, but the actual firmware version should be the same as the one contained in the combination file.

I think it is a bit nuts to be combining these 2 huge files into one update. There are too many possibilities with failed updates or consumer media being faulty and for identifying where the fault is.
Juan, I have finally managed to check the firmware version that I downloaded and installed. It is indeed version 44.07.05.22 {Feb 2023).

No worries - I suspected as much as the firmware versions are issued at the same with the same revision number.

Are there any hints how to create a USB drive for SW update? I have downloaded the file from the link you kindly shared. There is a .tar archive there. Should I just copy it to USB stick, unarchive and then delete an archive from USB, then it will be ready for usage in car system - right? For some reason link on Citroen Update SW does not work and I wonder if it's possible to create USB drive for update without Citroen Update. Thanks.

The links I provided are specifically for the member that asked for it, so may not be the same for your system!

As for the TAR archive, best to use a programme like 7.zip to extract the TAR archive directly onto the pre-formatted USB, rather than copying, extracting and deleting - as this just creates another process and reduces the life of your USB (unnecessary writing and deleting cycles to the NAND memory cells).

Dear all - I have a Citroën C5 Aircross 1.2 EAT 8 (Facelift 2023; from April 2023).

Just had my garage update to latest GPS Europe map (16.0.0, Jan 2024), but it seems the firmware is still the old one (44.07.05.22_NAC-r0) … ist hat correct or isn’t there a newer one available here mid April 2024!?

Cheers and all the best,
Henrik

No.

Firmware updates are only released when there is a need to fix a problem with the head unit or update some of the software for compatibility reasons. You already have the latest version released from February 2023.
