The fuse I used is switched, not permanently live.
No, access to the fuse box is extremely difficult. You have to get right down to be able to see all of the fuses, and move some cable loom. Perseverance pays!

Ah ok, I’m looking for permanent as the Dash Cam needs this for the parking mode to work.
I am looking to install a good dashcam, to provide coverage front and back and when the C5 Aircross is parked. I will probably get an auto electrician to install, but does anyone know whether there is a suitable power supply in the overhead console? I think(?) I read that there was.
Any recommendations re brand and models gratefully accepted. Thx
Never splice into vehicle systems wiring for a power source or you'll soon end up with faults, these being heavily CAN multiplexed networks.
You must always take a direct connection from the fuse box. Use a piggy-back fuse type connector that will supply the requisite power via an appropriate secondary fuse on the piggy back connector. The wire from here to the cameras.
Also be warned never to route the wiring to the cameras in front of the A Pillar Airbags, nor through the passenger compartment side head linings above the windows, as there will be curtain airbags in there. If you have an impact that triggers the airbags and they are obstructed by wiring, it may act like cheesewire and potentially cause serious injury or worse.
For the A pillar, make sure any camera power wiring is routed and secured behind the airbag module and airbag wiring. For the rear camera, I'd suggest you route under the passenger and rear passenger floor sill trims to the back of the vehicle and then into the tailgate area.

If you want the best dashcam I would definitely recommend the below...front and rear bundle, bare in mind you will need to purchase the Hardware kit if you want the system to be on for Parking Mode and a Micro SD card.
A229 Pro Viofo or the new A329 Viofo (which I have)
Be careful 'hardwiring' your dashcam direct from fusebox. My car has been at the dealers for nearly 4 weeks with multiple electrical faults. At first they tried to lay the blame on the towbar, until it was pointed out that the towbar was a Citroen factory fit option from new. They are now trying to lay the fault against the dashcam!!
