Hi Steve w,
Replaced mine with the cross climates, expensive, all four, but they, in my opinion are great.
Excellent in wet, no slides in water, grip really good in dry, snow, yet to see how well they do.
But videos show they do well.
I would recommend them, others might not, down to personal choice.
Sproaty.

I’m thinking 20k miles is very satisfactory. I’ve had the car from 6.5k miles and drive fairly gently and keep to speed limits.
Hi SteveWSnr. Yes I think 20k is reasonable too and my driving style is also similar to how you describe.
When I bought my car it had 16,500 miles on it. It had the original Michelin Primacy3 tyres on the rear wheels, the front wheels had just had new Goodyear tyres fitted and all looked well.
After about 9 months and another 8,500 miles I replaced the rear tyres as they were by then starting to show signs of age with small cracks developing.
I replaced like for like and stuck to Primacy3’s.
The Goodyear’s on the front which I suspect now need replacing (the upcoming MOT will decide for me!) have now done around 21,000 and when these are replaced I will have the Primacy3’s moved to the front and the new Michelin CrossClimate’s fitted at the rear and after another front change eventually end up with CrossClimate’s all round. I have listened to and read numerous opinions from all sources and the recommendations from JuanSheet, Sproaty on here helped me decide this.
There isn’t too much wrong with the probably outgoing Goodyear’s except they seem to wear more on the “corners” rather than evenly across the whole tread footprint? The pressures and tracking have been constant monitored so I’m assuming this is just one of the Goodyear characteristics? Thanks for your input. 👍🏼

Hi Sproaty.
Thanks for your input and recommendation. I think I’ll go with CrossClimates too. 👍🏼

Thanks Kev B and Sproaty for your info on the tyres. I’m going to rethink this and go for the superior tyre.

Hi Guys. Just an update on my initial post..
Yesterday (8th Aug 2024) I finally took the plunge and fitted all four wheels with Cross Climate 2's.
Have only driven 20 miles on them so far so it's too early to give much feedback.
They seem very stable and a good ride with not much noise is all I can say at the moment.
Hopefully I will get the benefits I'm expecting and will let you know in due course!
Regards Kev

Nice, I like mine, only thing I've noticed is that the car is very sensitive in the steering and needed them rebalancing after a few hundred miles.

My C5 aircross is on continental premium contact 6 (on the front tyres) and have done around 22k miles and still have plenty of tread left. The rears were only changed to Goodyear efficientgrip 2 as the dealer had left an original Michelin on the drivers side rear that was cracking.

Considering I came from a Citroen Ds5 that would eat tyres (talking around 10k) I'm very happy with how well it looks after it's tyres.

And my driving styles not changed between cars, the Ds5 was just bad on tyres.

I had CC’s on my previous C3 aircross, great choice of tyre. Good in all weathers. Felt more confident on them in snow, ice and mud etc. Only issue I found was they are good at picking up gravel and small stones. One was replaced after a puncture and replaced with cc2. Will definitely use them again on my new c3 aircross when tyres need changing.
