First service query

Hi. Having previously only had Ford vehicles I now have a 73 plate C5 Aircross. I’ve only driven 3,500 but I’ve had it for a year so the first service is due. The dealer has quoted £400 which is a lot more than I ever paid for my previous cars. It’s a PCP deal so as long as I serviced within the terms of the warranty I know I could use a local garage but I wondered whether I should do this? Someone has said there may be necessary software updates the garage hasn’t got access to? Thanks.
