Hi people !
I’ve recently bought a 22 plate C3 Aircross. I’ve had it about three weeks now. Absolutely love it. But one problem I’m struggling with is, at least once a day I manage to go into first gear instead of third at speed. I’ve never had a car that this could happen in. It goes in so easily and of course screams and jolts me forward kind of like having a brake slammed on. Now I’m becoming really aware and terrified of gear changing. It’s not just me. My hubby has driven the car twice and has managed to do it too, and has told me to get in touch with the garage.
My question is. Is there something wrong with the gear shift? Should it be that easy to mistakingly put it in first whilst at speed, or is this how it is?
