I need to top up my AdBlue tank for the first time and was thinking of using a pump at my local service station rather than buying a few litres in a plastic bottle.

Then I read that the AdBlue for trucks is different from that used in cars.

First time I've ever read that, what are your thoughts please...?

I don't think that the Adblue for lorries is different. However, the Adblue tank on a lorry is far bigger than on a car, and the pump delivers through a large nozzle that certainly would not fit into the tank on either Adblue cars I have owned. You risk dousing youself and your car with urea if you try to use the HGV pump.

In the manual for my car it says .
" Never top up from an AdBlue® dispenser reserved for heavy goods vehicles. "
It is best to buy fresh Adblue 10 liters and pour it slowly with the help of a funnel. If it is splashed on the car, wash it with water.
