Well you may never have an issue - so hard to predict. I've no issue on mine so far.

Unfortunately I can't advise you as it sounds fine to me personally. Only a dealer with experience of the issue could really nail it down. I suspect it would have to be a very obvious noise to be heard along with the normal diesel sound, so I would of thought the noise would be more pronounced.

Hi Juan, firstly thank you so much for the time you’ve spent answering queries on here. I’ve been advised that the Peugeot 5008 I’m looking to purchase has the 8mm chain but hoped you could check with the VIN: VF3MCYHZMMS088884

Many thanks

Hi, no problem, and sorry, but unfortunately your vehicle was built with the 7mm chain (it's a 2021 build), so will not have the 8mm cam chain fitted at factory. So unless it has had issues and been retro-fitted as part of a warranty claim you will still have the 7 mm chain. The only way to check that is from the guidance in this thread by checking the label for the number as shown.

It was just replacement with new 7mm chain and some other parts which are in set. It’s better to have new 7mm chain than old one 😃
Please let me know did you change 7mm chain in Peugeot service?

Did noise disappear after changing 7mm chain with new one how much did you pay for this?
I sent you PM
Can you also let me know how much this cost? Many thanks
