Dear Juan Sheet,

Can you please send me direct download links for my 2020 C5 Aircross with vin: vr7acy hzjll017099

My C5 Aircross is with factory map and touch screen software and I would like to upgrade both but I get constant download error message with the PC Citroen Downloader.

Bonjour,

Your system is a Wave 3 unit, but can be upgraded to Wave 4.

However, the are quite a few updates in between the conversion to Wave 4. Once you manage to install 42.01.72.32_NAC-r0, this converts it to Wave 4 and also contains a combined Firmware and Map update.

Many have had issues updating there units when trying to go directly to the latest version where they are still on older Wave 3 firmware.

Try upgrading to version 42.01.72.32_NAC-r0 first, (Link Here) and see if this will update.

Make sure your vehicle is in an area where you have good phone reception, as the vehicle's WiFi needs to authorise the upgrade. Also, make sure the engine is running all the time.

Also, as this is both a Firmware and Map Update, you will need a USB that is FAT32 formatted and at least 32 Gb in size to hold both updates.

Greetings to all. I am pretty new in the Forum trying to get some answers. I recently purchased C5 Aircross VIN number VR7AJEHZRJL095783. Through the My Citroen application it said that I have one or more software updates. I have downloaded the update (23,17GB) and prepared the USB. The update said cartography+firmware but I think just firmware was installed. It says that the system version is 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0. After that it requires installation of the maps but return with an error that additional installation is required and that I need to connect to mycitroen.fr. Existing maps are deleted. I have tried several times but same things happens. Can somebody help me (I found on this forum some version 44 and then maps but when I put USB in nothing happens). When I put same USB with citroen update application doing the work it does the job but the version 42 is the latest. Any help how to recover or install new maps?

Afternoon all, very similar to above I've recently bought a 2019 C5 Aircross VIN VR7ACYHZJKL037280 and after downloading the Citroen app I've found it needs an update of the O/S (42.03.33.42_NAC-r0) After installing the Citroen software to my laptop I've had multiple failed attempts to download the update. It's always nearly halfway through then throws up an error regarding network connection. Admittedly my laptop is old but my WiFi is pretty quick and reliable. Any help regarding downloading the update is much appreciated! Thanks.

For direct downloads you can use google file server.
https://sites.google.com/view/nac-rcc/system/nac/wave-4

But be aware, it's on your own risk if you try to install the wrong version!!

Hi @Ries and @Juan Sheet, sorry for the late reply I'm hoping you can help. I've read through the thread and the link you kindly provided above and the different codes are a bit baffling (I'm new to this update stuff - my last car was 12 years old!) If possible please can you advise the exact update (or better yet provide the link) my car will need based on the VIN in my previous post above? Sorry if I've missed something, any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks again for all your help.

I've no access to the servers to check against your vin code.

For more explanation about versions you can use this topic. It's a dutch website so you have to translate into your own language.
Peugeot and Citroen share there navigation systems.

No need, the version for the present time is

Firmware 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0

It's a combined firmware and map update and if you need a licence it is:

Licence file

Following the update you can then try a later firmware and map, but there seems to be issues with trying to install later versions before the bridging firmware.....
