Towbar and rear parking sensors disable

I am picking up a 21 reg BlueHDI Shine Plus EAT8 C5 Aircross next week and need to get a towbar fitted. Looking at the manual for the car it says that if a Citroen bar is fitted then the rear parking sensors will automatically be disabled when towing. If I fit a non-Citroen bar is it likely that thi...

Re: Prospective buyer with a question about collision detection system

Thanks @routemaster1 and @Maxr, my Ford Kuga has the vanilla cruise control. As I get older I worry a bit about that in case I suffer a medical incident of some sort. Not that I am expecting that, but the likelihood of such things does increase with age. I will feel happier with the adaptive control...

Re: Not receiving notifications or emails

It's ok, it seems to have leapt into life. Perhaps it just took time to get going, or possibly someone has sorted it for me, in which case, thanks. Either way all is now good.

Re: Prospective buyer with a question about collision detection system

Thanks Juan It does have the EAT8 box. Unfortunately I can't determine from the online photos whether the driver assist buttons are present. Perhaps someone who knows the car better will know what the buttons are. This is the best I can get from the photo. C5_buttons.png I can see from the photos th...

Prospective buyer with a question about collision detection system

Hi all, a new member here intending to buy a May 21 registered C5 Aircross 1.5 BLUEHDI SHINE PLUS EAT8. My first question that I hope someone can help with is, will that model have the collision detection automatic braking system? I have seen suggestions that all C5 Aircross have it but I am not sur...
