Re: Map update failing (14.0.0...
C5, phev. However do you start the engine??? And run while the USB is plugged in? Please. I posted this query a long time ago and had lots of people telling me to switch off the auto stop start but as you found this doesn't exist on the PHEV. The instructions say to keep the engine running but it i...

I concur with Spark above, it now offers games like Tic-tac-toe and hangman to play. Can't see that keeping kids happy for long. I tried to update touchscreen and maps yesterday. Stupidly after installing the touchscreen software it goes on about these games and also tries to tell you about whats ne...

Thanks Juan, thats brilliant. Don't know how you've managed to find that but it makes me feel a lot more confident about performing future updates.

Re: Engine running during Map Update
Sorry Juan if I sound a bit grumpy, you may be right about the keeping the ICE running and that's what the instructions suggest. However I suspect the people who wrote the software for MyCitroen and the app that produces the USB for updates may be the ones who wrote the instructions for the updates....

Re: Engine running during Map Update
Beenee, you say drive it but the default mode is electric so what is the difference between driving on electric and sitting stationary with the car in electric drive mode. And as ive said twice, on my model, the face lifted October 2022 Shine PHEV there is no stop start disable control either as a b...

Re: Engine running during Map Update
No Juan, you obviously have a different manual to me. There is no drive mode for ICE only, there is no button to disable stop start although the manual suggests there is, the space is occupied by a button for preconditioning.

Engine running during Map Update
As you may be aware the user guide says map updates must be done while the engine is running for both Internal Combustion Engine and PHEV models. I posted on here many months ago about the problem this causes with a PHEV C5 as there is no button to disable the Stop/Start and no driving mode that is ...

I always have in the past Juan but had a years free IMO washes with my insurance, plus I'm not so keen on cold hands as I get older.

Carwash and C5 PHEV free-wheeling
I've been going through the manual for my new car and came across something called Freewheel mode. it says you should put the car in this mode for a number of things including being pulled though a carwash. I'm not sure I could carry out this procedure in the short time before driving in and the rac...
