Hi everyone,
My 71 plate, 19,000 mile C5 Aircross Hybrid recently had an intermittent no-start issue and was showing the Electric Traction System fault. The dash would also show up a series of other faults. It was taken to my local Citroen dealer where on inspection and with a ticket being raised with Citroen themselves, the dealer was guided to the wiring loom in the rear N/S wheel arch connecting the EVCU. An almost broken wire was found and it was repaired.
Unfortunately, as the car is six months out of warranty, the dealer and up to this point Citroen, have refused to offer any goodwill for the repair bill, which was £780! (the dealer wouldn't even talk to Citroen on my behalf!).
Has anyone had the same issue and if so, have they had it repaired under warranty or been lucky enough to get a contribution from Citroen?
I'm aware of one other post on here relating to this and have reached out to that user. ChatGPT tells me that there is also a report of this online from an owner in the Netherlands. I'm trying to establish if this is a common or known fault - something the response to the ticket raised by the dealer with Citroen and their response would lead me to believe.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
Alex
