Just wanted to share some info.
I bought a new citroen berlingo 1.5 (130 bhp) automatic van 2019.
Only covered 30 000 miles to date, has been serviced by citroen since new.. I ve had a few problems with mine..
Some to list are:
Day 1 Navigation didn't work, Replaced telematics/ screen. Ad blue counter not resetting..
Year 2 Ad blue injector changed
Not resetting countdown after ad blue being topped up.. Every year citroen has manually reset it and this still carries on.. Engine magement light shows, ad blue light shows etc. After resetting it's fine until I need to top up adblue. 4 years in a row....
All injectors changed as engine was very lumpy..
So far all under 3 year warranty.
Goodwill by citroen after 3 years and 2 months.
Cambelt changed and pretensionor replaced as was making noise .
Then I had the dreaded time chain problem 3 weeks ago. NO Power on throttle and seemed like noise from top part of engine. Got AA straight away to tow to citroen garage..
I didn't know about the timing chain issue until I googled and found this site.. What a life saver...
I called them and they said it was a timing chain issue, but advised me that the chain was still under warranty and all cost would be covered by them (£1900)
What a relief. Had to wait 3 weeks and hire a van from elsewhere as they had no vehicles but all done now..
Only time will tell now and God knows what else is gonna pop up... Hopefully I ll get rid of the van by then... Fed up now, a brand new van with all these problems.. I don't think I ll ever buy a citroen again...

A number of other people from the UK Facebook post have emailed as they have either had this issue happen to them (without warning) or feel like they're driving around a ticking time bomb waiting for it to happen.

I'm still waiting for a response to my email. I was promised a response by close of business Wednesday, which I got but it was a we're waiting for the relevant departments to get back to us.
I basically put across the safety fears of it snapping on the motorway at 70mph with my family in the car, feeling like us owners are sitting on ticking time bombs, people had the chain snap with no warning signs, some owners having to pay for repairs even though it's a known manufacturer fault, the fact the issue has been made a recall in mainland Europe.
Basically asking them to do the right thing and escalate it to a recall and fix the issue before it happens and requires a new engine rather than just a new 8mm chain.
Will update once they eventually get back to me.

If there are any other people reading this thread that have asked for help, maybe they should also fire off their own email to Gregory Taylor at Citroen (details in Martyn's Post here: viewtopic.php?p=7896#p7896), as the more people that raise this issue with him, the more attention it will get.

I had my car in for it's annual service, MOT and brake fluid change today so asked them if they knew anything about the technical bulletin. The person at the desk didn't know anything about it but said he would look into it for me.
Picked the car up after the work was done and brought it up again and showed him this forum with the information. He went through the back and got a technician who knew about it, who came out and looked at the engine.
Unfortunately like Juan has said they won't do anything until they hear the noise but did advise me that you can't miss the noise as it's a loud knocking noise like someone is trying to escape and that if you hear that noise stop the car and get it taken to your nearest Citroen dealer as it's a lot easier for them to fix before the chain snaps.

I have a 1.5 blue hdi engine but I'm assuming because the car was registered in November 2019 it falls before this? (Guessing slightly different engine standard?)

No unfortunately. You go on the build date not the registration date. I can tell the build date from your VIN if you want to know. Take mine, the RPO or build date is 15703 (06/11/2019) and being a Euro 6.2 falls before the 16093 (30/11/2020) range, so mine is included, as I suspect yours is too, as per the document title:

Hello everyone, I am new to this group and I am happy to be able to chat with you. For my part, I think that PSA must make allowances for users of this engine because many of them have this problem. I've already had problems with the ADblue tank but I was able to repair it in time and without too much damage but I think other people weren't so lucky.

Stellantis generally provide a longer warranty period on Adblue tanks - about 5 years, as long as servicing and maintenance schedules are stuck to.
